What does a meal mean to you? It’s more than just food. It’s nourishment for both body and soul. It fuels us, uplifts us, and connects us with others. A meal is more than just sustenance. It’s a moment of joy, a memory in the making.

At the Day By Day Shelter, we understand the power of a meal. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our new program, Give A Meal. Make A Day. For just $5, you can make a tangible difference in someone’s life by providing a nutritious meal for a guest in need.

Partnering with Winnebago County’s Park View Health Center, we ensure that every meal is delicious and well-balanced, comprising protein, starch, and fruits or vegetables. We take into account dietary restrictions to cater to the unique needs of our guests.

Join the Pass The Plate Challenge from March 20th to April 5th, 2024

To kickstart our Give A Meal. Make A Day. program, we’re rallying the Oshkosh community to join us in spreading the word. Our goal is simple –  to have this program support meals for all shelter guests, two nights a week, for the rest of the year.

The shelter serves 55 guests per night.  To meet our goal of two funded meal nights per week, we’re setting our sights on raising $28,500.

Will you help us get started?

For less than the price of a cup of coffee, you can start supporting this program today and get us on to our 2024 program goal.

Donate now and share your contribution on social media using #GiveAMealMakeADay.

Challenge your friends and family to join the movement by “passing the plate” and tagging those who appreciate the value of a shared meal.

Together, we can transform a simple act of generosity into a brighter tomorrow for those in need. Give a meal and make someone’s day.
